Derby-versary: 1st time on the track was… A home bout and it was amazing and fast paced but I felt alive and loved by my fellow derby sisters.
Claim to fame? – Bruises What are you known for? Saying dammit Janet & Suck it up buttercup.
How did your name and number come about? Like to go shooting.
Why derby? How did you get involved? My boyfriend took me to a home bout and they were looking to recruit and it looked like a blast and yes great exercise.
Most memorable derby moment… being on skates in over 30 years.
Most challenging part of derby for you… staying up and not tripping anyone.
Favorite part of being a Renegade… the love and support of my derby sisters.
Something that you probably didn’t know about me is… I am not huge on change and for me to move to Florida from New York and leave my son to stay with his dad and go to Buffalo State College has been hard on me but I know in my heart this has been a good move for me but I miss my little boy with all my heart everyday and I makes me sad that he is not with me and I cry a little everyday.

How did your name and number come about? No story behind it. My first name was Terror Misu. Someone else registered it so it was a toss up between Kay Oss and something else I can’t remember. I shortened it to K Oss 13 is my favorite number
Why derby? Because I like to skate and this took it to the next level
How did you get involved?
I was at a Saturday skate session and a roller derby girl (Ima Problem) came up to me and asked if I’d ever thought about playing derby? I said hell yeah! I was at their next practice gear in hand and jumped right in. That’s all it took. I was hooked

How did you get involved? Went to a bout with coworkers and was hooked!
Most memorable derby moment… Feeling like a badass blocker only to have Nikki Stric 9 skate right though my legs!

Something that you probably didn’t know about me is… I participate in “No Shave November” all year round. Oh and I refuse to wash dishes. If someone doesn’t wash them I toss them.

How did your name and number come about? Evel Knievel was always an idol of mine. The #666 just seemed right since I’m huge into Halloween& horror.
Why derby? How did you get involved? Was tired of sitting on the couch and not having friends. Heard about it online & Saw a Sarasota Roller Girls bout – was hooked and joined immediately !
Most memorable derby moment…gearing up for my very first practice and one of the girls broke her leg !! Didn’t deter me a bit!

When I’m not being a roller derby badass, I am…(day job) Executive Administrator and Accountant for a marketing company. I’ve been working for the same company since I was 13 years old!
Hobbies? Crafts of all sorts, decorating my house, anything that uses creativity.

Claim to fame? What are you known for? My strange lack of penalties during bouts and ELBOWS HEDDER! smile emoticon
How did your name and number come about? My real name is Heather and Hedder has always been a nickname of mine. So Hedder Hard like “Hit her hard.” Nikki gave me my number, probably because i skated at -200mph when i started derby!
Why derby? How did you get involved? I was recruited in Lakeland by the local derby team but didn’t have the time to invest in it at that stage of my life. When I moved to Sarasota and lacked friends and a workout buddy I decided to check out the local teams. I instantly clicked with the Renegades and the rest is history!
Most memorable derby moment… When a picture was snapped of me falling during a bout and we couldnt figure out which foot was twisted backward underneath me…how I didn’t break something the world may never know!
Most challenging part of derby for you… The social aspect of it. I am not naturally a social person and it is difficult for me to get outside of my head and my box and put myself out there. My derby sisters do a great job of helping me to open up. (As if they’d give me a choice!)
Favorite part of being a Renegade… being supported no matter what. Knowing that I belong to a super bunch of strong, athletic, classy women that all have the same goal while still being very unique!
